How can I get rid of TV's and appliances?

If you are located in the city of Madison you can take a TV or appliance you wish to recycle to a city drop off. The city will also pick these up on the curb for a fee. Go to https://www.cityofmadison.com/streets/recycling/computers/program.cfm to see more info. The Dane County Landfill can also accept TV's for a fee. You can drop them off at the Dane County Clean Sweep located at the Dane County Landfill.  

Metal recycling plants such as Alter Metal Recycling or All Metals Recycling will gladly accept your appliances, some for free. 

Do you accept concrete or bricks?

Yes, we accept concrete in our 7 Yard Heavy Materials Bin ONLY. No other trash, dirt, debris, etc. is allowed in a concrete dumpster in order for the concrete to be accepted for recycling.

No trash, rebar, dirt, lumber, etc., should be in with the concrete. If the dumpster is not filled with clean concrete it will not be able to be recycled and will result in much higher dump fees.

If you have a very small amount of concrete, (i.e. some small footings from a deck tear out) that concrete can go in the dumpster. However, the customer should be aware that concrete is very heavy and when it is mixed with other trash that is going to the landfill it's weight will be included in the tonnage fee at the landfill which can add up tonnage overages.

When clean concrete is absent of rebar, dirt, rocks, trash, etc. that concrete loading into a dumpster can be taken to a plant for recyclying. This is not only the most economical way to recycle concrete but it also usually eliminates the need for expensive landfill overage charges.

Do you accept shingles?

Yes, we do accept shingles and are also looking for roofing contractors to work with on a regular basis.

If booking online be sure to select the 15 Yard Roofing Dumpster or 10 Yard Dumpster.

With that being said we can accept up to 35 square of shingles per dumpster. If the project involves more than 35 square of single layered shingles, more than one dumpster will be needed for the project. 

Full roof tear offs put in our dumpsters must be clean shingles only (shingles, nails, and tar paper only). If other debris is mixed in with the shingles, the load will need to be taken to a special drop off location that charges much higher fees, and that will be charged back to the customer. 

Small amounts of shingles are also accepted from new roofs in construction dumpsters. 

Can I book a dumpster online using your website? 

Absolutely you can, just click the "Rent a Dumpster" tab up in the corner of this website.

Do I need to be home when you deliver or pick up the dumpster? 

No, you do not need to be present when Apex picks up or drops off the dumpster. On the online ordering process there is a place to describe where you would like the dumpster to be located at your property. 

What items can go in one of your dumpsters? 

We take most household and construction items, excluding things like large appliances, tires, liquids, and TV's. How long can I keep the dumpster?

We include up to fourteen days in the base price in the winter and seven days the rest of the year. Meaning the price is the same whether you schedule the dumpster to be at your property for one day or fourteen (or seven) days. However, if you would like to keep the dumpster longer, that is no problem at all. You can schedule to keep the dumpster for as long as you would like for $25 per day extra. All bookings are subject to dumpster and truck availability. 

How soon can I get a dumpster delivered?

Often times Apex Dumpster Rental can deliver a dumpster the same day you call or the day after. However, dumpster delivery is always based off of dumpster and trucking availability. Because Apex Dumpster Rental stays busy all year there can sometimes be a wait on dumpsters to become available. It is always best to order a dumpster ahead of time. We recommend you book a couple weeks ahead of your project.

What time will my dumpster be delivered on the day of drop off?

Each truck makes up to a dozen drop-offs/pick-ups per day. With that being said, we make our drop-offs and pick-ups based on the best and most efficient route. 

Therefore, your dumpster may come anytime throughout the day, from 6AM to 4PM. We include up to seven days in the base rate for our rentals so you can have enough time to fill the dumpster. If you plan to get an early start filling the dumpster please make sure to order the dumpster for the day before your project starts.
